Why I like what I like

Fond of courtesy and passion I love historical romance movies because it intertwines culture and courtesy of old love stories. I have this personal taste on romance in its honorable way because it portraits courtship based on respect and courtesy. Historical romance shows the pure and sincere romance. It shows historical facts and culture intertwined with a fictional romance story. It shows good manners towards a lady which people had on those days. Plus, honor, respect and courtesy are central themes of their plots.  Historical Romance is a wide category of fictional plots taken placed in the past -specially in British regency. It develops a plot based on the relationship between a hero and heroine as the key thread and overriding element of the story. Historical novels capture the details including social norms, manners, customs, and traditions. Many novels in this genre tell fictional stories that involve actual historical figures or historical events. It satisfies both one's ed...

RAPPORT IN ENGLISH LEARNING

Establishing a good relationship in class is the key to keep enthusiasm because students feel more motivated and thus develop better academic performance. According to Davis (2003) the relationship between teachers and students, which is called rapport, intrinsically impacts students and their academic success. Since, thanks to the development of rapport, students feel comfortable in classes, they tend to be participatory even in the teaching process through webinars. As Frisby and Martin (2010) point out, students who have a good relationship with their teachers generally perform better academically than students who have not established a good relationship with their educators. Those students who do not feel empathy or comfort with the class and with their teachers, they will not develop their skills in a productive way that allows them to obtain a high achievement in class. For example, if students do not have motivation or enough confidence to speak, they will not answer a...

The tea that teared British power down

In times when the US was a colony of Britain it depended on the monopolized market of tea the British stablished due to its deal with the East India Comany, assuring there was no other competitor as provider of this plant. However its price was exorbitant for the North American colonies, thus they decided to turn to Dutch smugglers who sneaked in tea and sold it much less expensive. Rather than change the price for better reception, they imposed a series of acts. Those series of acts caused resentment in the colonies as they had to paid overpriced things due to taxes. They outraged thinking it was unfair plus felt unable to be represented in those kind of decisions of the government. Though the British Parlamiament allowed the tea to be cheaper, taxes were still in effect so they acted out of principle considering it unfair. They emptied the Dartmouth and two other ships full of tea. Two years later the US signed the Declaration of Independence. This event was the path to revoluti...

Then, I took a shower, got dressed. I arrived at work at 8:30 with one 3yo-old boy asking me where I was. I work for a tutoring center which gives classes to different groups. Mine is preschoolers. So, my day went as always.
